Small but well organized and well stocked store with an inventory that focuses on quality goods. But what really makes Z Fabrics special is the knowlegable, friendly, and extremely helpful staff. Don't be shy if you have questions or are a newbie to the craft. Everybody here is extremely kind and helpful, and they will go out of their way to help you figure out solutions for any problems you might encounter along the way!

expensive, but it's a small, local fabric store in portland so it's to be expected and it isn't unreasonable at all. good selection of fabrics, the staff are super friendly and helpful with whatever questions I've had. the only downsides are that they don't have a big selection of embroidery floss, so if you're trying to shop for that I'd go somewhere else. also they mainly sell quilting cotton, so don't look here for apparel fabric. the staff are amazing. without fail. every single time they're so helpful and kind. super fun patterns on their fabric!

Great selection of fabrics suitable for quilting. The People are very helpful and friendly. They do a "box office" mail order business (see their website). It was worthwhile going while vacationing in Wells-Ogunquit.
