First time here. We love this unique bar and cafe. Service was exceptional - our servers made helpful recommendations and our drinks, entrees and dessert did not disappoint. The mezcal margarita was out of this world, pibil tacos were the best I’ve had and they serve a special coffee that pairs perfectly with their perfect coffee cake. There’s a comedy night on Wednesdays too. El Charro Hipster Bar is a family run operation complete with Grandma’s delicious recipes. This place is an anchor for the neighborhood. We would be regulars if we lived closer ❤️

Delicious food, unique and special atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The pibil was exceptional especially with the croissant. The server said they try to locally source the food when possible, but that gave me the impression that lost of the food may not be locally sourced. Their desserts are delicious and the empanaditas are made by a friend of the owners. The kale kiss salad was forgettable because it lacked flavor (could use a stronger vinaigrette). The potato salad was really good. Every entree was served on paper plates so it felt a little wasteful to not just use regular restaurant plates. Even the cookies came in a plastic container. The presentation of the food could be improved. Overall great experience, eclectic vibe, and delicious food.

Excellent food, coffee, and smoothies. Had the Wonderland - very tasty. Big patio right on Grand Ave. Will definitely be coming back.

Been there twice once for brunch and once for drinks as we waited for reservations at another bar nearby. Both times the food and drinks were great but the service was a bit slow/inattentive. For brunch we had crickets which were a cool experience, tacos, pizza and drinks. The special for brunch was a $6 bloody Maria and it was delicious. I think I had two or three which is hard to do with bloody Mary’s. Overall delicious. The second go we had the mojitos and the mexipaloma. They have little event nights like comedy night during the week I think on Wednesdays and live music on Friday.

Quite a bit of spacing between tables and universal masks except while eating. Possibly other measures that start could provide insight on.
