This was my first CCW class extremely informative very patient and caring instructors will use again for my renewal coming up

My instructor was Dave Morley and he was AMAZING! My wife and I took his class together. The class was very informative and Dave presented all the information in a clear and interesting way. We were lucky to have had such a great Instructor and I highly recommend choosing his class. We needed an in person class as Tehama County Sheriff does not allow a zoom class for CCW and Dave was very accommodating with a class that worked for our schedule. The Range was awesome too! We definitely felt prepared after his class and it was well worth the drive to go there. FIVE STAR rating!

Joel, Dave, and Jared were great instructors on the range. I was frankly surprised at their in depth knowledge about the wide variety of firearms brought by our group. Safety always #1 factor. We progressed from simple gun handling to more advanced exercises simulating various self defense scenarios. Joel previously gave very informative classroom session making the various handgun laws very clear, giving great instruction on self defense, and stressing safety above all. Highly recommend!

I love the friendly, knowledgeable, respectable staff at Firearms Academy of Redding. Joel and his crew were very helpful and easy to understand. They used both visual and audio aids giving a higher level of understanding. This course is great for beginners and more advanced men and women. Thank you all for educating people on how to keep their families and other individuals safe.

Hi Frank, unfortunately I don’t believe there are any reloading classes in Redding. I would suggest you talk to some of the local gun shops.
Hi Rudy....you only need to take the class again to renew your CCW License every 2 years. Make sure to register for a renewal class about 2 months before your license expires. As for the new gun, you can NOT carry your new gun concealed unless it is actually listed on your license. This is true for any gun.....if it is not listed on your license, you are at risk of having your license revoked by the Sheriff. Its a simple process to change a weapon on your license. Stop by the Sheriff's office to get the form, or download it from their website. Bring the form, your current CCW License, and your new gun to the Sheriff's office to have it added. Remember to transport the new gun unloaded, and in a locked container. They will check your new gun, and add it to your license. Very easy!
The class for F.A.R. is $140.00 for new applicants and $40.00 for a renewal every two years. The initial application and background check fee is $150.00 and renewal is $100 in Shasta County.
