After years of care provided by the VA in another state, my first visit to the VA Bangor Clinic was a breath of fresh air. No excessive wait times, professional, friendly staff, the most thorough exam I've had in over 20 years in the VA system, and a wonderful check out person who insured my next appointments were scheduled before I left the clinic. One appointment that could not be immediately scheduled was scheduled by a call back with hours of me leaving the clinic. This experience alone makes so happy we moved to the Bangor area.

Excellent and very professional staff. I am always met with positivity at my check in, throughout my appointment and continuing through when I check out. This facility and the workers here have helped me through a lot.

This facility does not even deserve one star. My son has been treated so badly that I'm ready to call a lawyer. There are those on staff whose level of compassion are on that of Nurse Ratched from "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest." They are unprofessional, as in screaming at and threatening patients, and retaliatory when loved ones file a complaint. Really bad place.

I visited the clinic when my mother in law had an appointment. I had my 18 month old with me. I just want to say that I have never met a group of healthcare professionals like these people. They were so caring and nice. Add we waited in the waiting room people came and went through doors and down hallways. Many of the employees there stopped and talked to my son and I. One gentleman employee got down on the floor and played with my son and his truck for a few minutes. Another employee, a woman, walked by with a vase full of tulips. My son just had to see her flowers, he loves flowers. She bent down so he could take a look. She disappeared only to come back a few minutes later with a tulip in a cup for him to take home. We now have it planted in a pot waiting for warmer weather to put it outside. I just want to say how humbling it is to know that my veteran family members and other veterans in the area have a place like this available to them. I know they are provided quality care and are treated with the respect they deserve. Thank you for everything you do.

I call Togus and ask to speek to the Duty Nurse. They may direct you to the nearest Emergency Room. Tell them you are a Veteran and to Bill the VA.
You can go in and be triaged by a Nurse and possibly be seen but your best option is to call in and be triaged over the phone. 561-3600
You need to see an audiologist .
Usually not but depending on what you need to be seen for, they will always try to squeeze you in
