Great traditional Mexican food! Loved the chicken chimichanga, shrimp fajitas, and the chips and salsa. Service was friendly and attentive during the dinner rush. Can’t wait to return and try some of the crowd favorites. Highly recommend!

We have loved Don Rubens for many years. When our daughters graduated and it was time to throw a party, we knew we wanted the food to be from here. It was a HUGE hit and everyone was asking who catered the party. Everything was super delicious. It was ready on time and the prices were super good. The workers were so nice and helpful and called to confirm everything a day or so prior to the party. Highly recommend their party platters. We had around 60 people at the party and ordered 3 chicken and 3 beef platters and 2 enchilada platters, 1 rice and 1 beans. 4 bags of chips and salsa. It was PLENTY and we even had a bit left over to enjoy the next day. 😋 10/10 recommend them for your events.. not one person didn't enjoy it. Thank you Don Rubens!! You guys are amazing and the food is delicious. Happy to be a lifelong customer. 🥰 Also I wanted to add... I saw a few bad reviews because of the closing time not matching up when they called. You do realize that unless it's on their official website, Google and such are crowd-sourced.. right?! I own a business and if you Google it, the hours are wrong. I've changed it multiple times but they always get changed again. So sometimes it's NOT the businesses fault. Also, you have to remember covid messing up many business hours as well. Have some grace. At the end of the day they are a family business that serve amazing food with a great attitude. THATS what matters. Shame on you Karen's. 😒 same goes for the people stating how amazing it is and that they will return only to give it 4 out of 5 stars. Smh 🤦🏼‍♀️ come on yall. Really? K I'm done. 🤣

Overall good experience and food. The price was decent for what you get. Portion sizes are good as well as taste. There was little wait although they were somewhat busy and the staff was friendly and fast. Food took a little time to get out but was very good. The chili reno was a bit cheesey for me but the flavor and freshness was perfect. The rice and beans were good too. The shredded beef was a bit over cooked and the shrimp enchiladas were soggy. That said the flavors were still good. We would recommend if you are looking for a quick bite at a decent price for good taste. Stick to the basics and you will be happy.
