I can support the review concerning Jannelle. She was annoyed, dismissive and uninforming. The law should not be disregarded because the person answering the phone felt it's not worth their time. Another display of local law enforcement neglecting their duty. They refuse to handle matters they should if there is any chance of hindrance and fail to do their jobs when the law clearly supports the victim. I feel sorry for the officers and staff, few in number by comparrison, that earnestly perform these very hard jobs.

Sassy young woman answering phones - Jan? needs to learn some manners and not hang up on people when she doesn't have correct information, but Sgt who called me back was very helpful and supportive. Remember our vets and others with PTSD on the 4th. Don't pretend to be a patriotic American and then say to hell to vets who returned after fighting for you. Hypocrites calling themselves Americans. BTW- PTSD and accompanying flashbacks is triggered by the unexpected explosions of fireworks by consumers, not by public displays at specific posted times put on by the town. Most vets with PTSD would like to know when the next bomb is going off. THINK about it!!

I had a Westbrook officer driving the SUV they have with plate 2027 almost hit me Wednesday morning around 7:52. He was coming towards me in the opposite direction and pulled a u-turn right in front of me in order to catch a woman speeding who just drove into the school zone in front of the middle school. Wasn't even looking at me when he pulled the u-turn, was just looking at her, and almost took my car out. So in order to catch a driver who was breaking the rules he almost caused an accident. Wasn't impressed.

They are the most over-oppressive department in the state. They are so bad that most people coming home from work in greater Portland actually drive around the town to avoid things such as harassment and getting a speeding ticket for literally going 36 in a 35. Time for a Chief of Police.. Not the Chief of disgruntled high school geeks, failed athletes and misfits!
