Good Afternoon, I want to share a wonderful story with you. My Mother passed away a couple days ago, She left me a diamond ring that she treasured. I brought this said ring to Yankee Goldsmith in Newport to get sized. They were so super understanding not only did they have it done the next day, but they cleaned and buffed it. Amazing jewelers. Rusty and Scott are very reputable and their quality of their workmanship is excellent. They have a large variety of jewelry and gemstones available. They are honest and care about their customers.

I have not a lot of good things to say about this store. Scott is a nice guy, does good work, and is honest. However, I used to be friends with Rusty and know a lot more about the negatives of this store than I am willing to write publicly. One thing I can say is that you get what you pay for. The silver jewelry tarnishes FAST because it is not finished properly. I have seen silver purchased from here looking horribly tarnished in just a few weeks while silver from another independent jeweler looked great for years. Both stored and used similarly (until the Yankee Goldsmith piece looked too bad to be worn). Avoid this store and buy somewhere else. There are plenty of good independent Jewelers in the area that will do right by you and treat you right.

This jewelry store is owned by my dad and his friend. They provide excellent service because they are very knowledgeable and highly skilled. They care about their customers, and they have free drinks and snacks! What's great about their store is that both dad (Scott) and Rusty are able to do all the work themselves.
