After 10 days of hospitalization at the Lovelace Medical Center I continue to be impressed with the comprehensive quality of the staff and facilities. I was treated very well by a competent, caring, and experienced staff. Even though having to lay on my back with lots of devices plugged into my body was a grueling experience for ten days the staff made it endurable for me. I am very grateful for that. Dr Haarhuus was an outstanding player in my care.

Let me give a quick list of my experience having a major surgery at your hospital: Woke up from surgery to people trying to make a plan to remove something left inside another patient, when brought to my room no one would help me with pain control for 6 hours, I was given a roommate that screamed, tried to pull out every line in her body (including the cath), tried to fly off the bed, had to be held down by the arms by a tech, with restraints on the table, unused. Over a dozen needle sticks trying to find an IV, on 2 occasions. Not 12 total, about 12 each, before I got the vascular team to use the IV to give me a line. Which lasted less than a day because the nurse would not listen to me to run the potassium slow to avoid blowing it. Needless to say she blew the IV within 2 hours. My surgeon screamed at my nurse and everyone else because I was sick (and vomiting for days everything I tried to drink) and having trouble taking pills. He forced me out before I could eat because he had weekend plans. This is without mentioning the condition of the bathrooms in patient rooms. There's some backup and the smell in the morning made me vomit. So if you want a smooth surgery I'd avoid Lovelace, at least the one downtown. The only good part was one nurse who I was lucky enough to have 2 nights in a row and the OT woman who's happiness and spirit was contagious.

I recently had an MRI and received very good instructions. Technicians were caring, made sure I was comfortable, could hear and understand the procedure. My first visit to Lovelace main hospital as mostly go to Lovelace Women's. All experiences have received friendly, caring and excellent care. Thanks to all health care workers connected to Lovelace.

When I arrived the lady at the entrance to hospital registered me so quick & placed my band on my wrist for my appointments. The catscan she was helpful and quick, and assisted me to blood draw. I had excellent service at all departments. They were very kind and compassionate. Great hospital ❤ Security even helped drive me to the front doors from parking garage. The handicap parking was far , and I couldn't have done this without their help.

On the ground floor.
Medical records is in the main building (the tallest one).
There is no labor and delivery at this hospital. You'd need to go either to Lovelace Women's Hospital or Lovelace Westside Hospital.
