RECOMMEND: Was here running in the NM Farolito 5k in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed this clean park and will absolutely go back.

Mariposa basin park is always very beautiful to go for a walk around the park especially during sunrise or sunset! My dog loves it too, it's also nice too for the little kids to take bread to feed the ducks as well! My favorite part is the big butterfly infront of the park right by the sign! Super big park eith enough space for every group to have there space and there privacy! The parking is also very spacey! Definitely do enough it and always have to recommend going to the park when they have a couple of food trucks and vendors out in the parking lot selling all the yummy 😋 and local food and treats! A. Wry peaceful park as well!

I was so happy to be there for the annual Balloon Fiesta! It was magical, for a lack of a better word. It was AWESOME so see and with all them floating overhead on a pretty morning in October. I saw many shapes and sizes. I loved the museum and the interesting history of the fiesta and balloons in general. A free interactive areas and the park was well kept and clean.

Questions & Answers

So today 5/5/18 me and a friend whent to the park. We decided to not go on our regular walk but me decided to clean out your pond. I got concerned about the wild life in the ponds. We wish that something happens to make the pond happy and good

Mariposa Park is a great place to bring your family. The walking/running paths are great and theyre open 24/7. The pond is home to ducks and geese during the summer months. Softball and baseball tournaments abound during the summer. There are 4 playing fields for these tournaments. Theres a snack shack run by the city during these events. A nice playground and a huge field used for soccer and flag football. Theres even horseshoe pits available. There are 2 sets of bathrooms that run the "pit" style toilets. The park is in high demand as many families and individuals use it daily. I use it quite often and enjoy the shade trees and animal life there.
