I had been going to Sit Still Kids Salon, and I was mostly pleased. A time or two, I wasn’t happy with a stylist that seemed to rush our appointment. The other times, the stylists were kind and gentle with my son. However, I was beyond upset when I had booked an appointment with Jess Santos, and my son happened to vomit on our way to the appointment. I called immediately (45 minutes ahead) to let them know that he was ill. I called the salon 3 times, texted twice, and I called back again to leave a detailed message. I was give. A text response saying sorry he was sick, but they were still charging us the full amount. During the time of Covid, I would think that they would be happy to know I was being a responsible individual. Also, the rational here is perplexing. What would they have done if I walked my son in with vomit all over? They would have cancelled on me. So…you all just lost a customer. I recommend looking into the regulations in regards to charging full price for a “no service rendered” appointment. I’d sort of understand if a partial charge was required, but I’m definitely not ok with a full amount being charged for a sick child during a pandemic. Parents bringing their kids in, you’ve been forewarned. Buyer beware.

We have been seeing Kayla here for about 6 months now. The salon is accommodating to kids with neurodiversity and sensory needs. The salon was open to scheduling our son’s haircuts before the rest of the salon opens up and identified that Kayla would be a great fit to work with our son. He is on the autism spectrum and can be sensitive to haircuts and Kayla has been accepting and supportive from the start of how to best approach his haircut experience. She is patient and creative and always flexible to whatever needs he has during the haircut. She is encouraging and warm and always makes us feel successful in this sometimes stressful situation. We are grateful to Sit Still and specifically Kayla for being a great community resource for haircuts for kids that need a little extra TLC :)

Been here a handful of times. Have always been pretty happy. But this last time was an epic fail. The front looks like an uneven bowl cut. Around his ears is even worse. So now I'll have to book another appt. Including tips this haircut will end up costing over $80.

Tanya was amazing! She was very patient with my son with is very very wiggly and it came out awesome! He loves it so much. I just wish they had more options for toys and such for him to pick out the majority of it all was girls stuff.
