The goat cheese fritters where amazing! 5/5 Lobster Bisque 4.5/5 very good. Could have used more lobster. Artichoke crusted chicken 3.5/5. Chicken was a little rubbery but flavor was good. Not quite dry, but not exactly moist on the chicken. Very good environment and good food. Would definitely try it again.

I wish I was about to write a good review, but we had a very lousy experience. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if our server had been there. He hadn’t, so she took our drink order, and about 5 minutes later our server came… to take our drink order. After that, seeing our server was very limited as well. He was also serving the table behind us and so we saw him, he just didn’t see us, apparently. He brought my food out and 5 minutes later brought my husbands food. I would expect this at say an Applebees, but we paid over $200 for pretty terrible service. The restaurant wasn’t very busy. The server may need some additional training. The food was fine. Just fine. I normally wouldn’t write a poor review, but being labeled as an “upscale restaurant “ and providing poor service needs to be addressed.

The staff is sincerely polite, the food is expertly prepared, slightly unexpected in presentation, and so delicious that you will eat long after your hunger is sated. Do not expect to weigh less the day after a dinner here, but do expect to long for the recipes and skill to try to recreate the meal in your own kitchen. It is not inexpensive, but you will thoroughly enjoy each morsel. I look forward to returning to enjoy this restaurant again. My meal: baked brie appetizer; bistro ribs, with Brussels sprouts and micro carrots, and salad; almond cake for dessert. And I'd order it again if I didnt want so badly to try something else!

My family and I had dinner at The Back Porch to celebrate my wedding. We had an incredible time! The atmosphere is so romantic and sweet. If you’re into history or historical homes, this is the place for you! The food was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meals. We even got a small wedding cake from the restaurant’s bakery and everyone kept saying how much they enjoyed it! The staff was so friendly and attentive. Our waiter was great, so sweet. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening or special event. Thank you for making my wedding day even more special!
