Great customer service and super friendly. However I got a hairstyle I didn't ask for. I asked to have my dead ends cut off which was roughly 2 inches of growout from coloring my hair years ago. That was it, no layers, no shaping, just the ends. She even asked if I wanted layers and I said no. I left with my hair above shoulder length with layers. It wasn't a bad haircut, just not my style. We discussed that curly hair needs shaping and that she does that with all of her curly hair clients, I saw what she meant but I guess I was the first client that didn't want my hair shaped.. Got charged $60 for something I didn't intend on getting then refused a refund. She offered to fix it and did a complimentary hair treatment but just cut more hair off to even things out. Luckily hair grows back though! I really appreciate the effort that was made to make it right.

I let Laurie do what she thought would look good. That was a great decision on my end! I am in love with my new look. I have been to 554, Em Salon, and Salon Argent, and the service here is the best! Okay, and the conversation with Laurie was too much fun. I will be back. Without a doubt.

I've seen Laurie twice now when I've been traveling through Salem. The first time, I just had her shampoo and style my hair for a date, the second time I got a full cut and color. Both times, I came out looking my very best. Truly, my hair has never looked better. Not only was Laurie friendly and supremely easy to talk to, she also showed me some tricks to recreate her magic and recommended some products I now use every day. It's also a gorgeous salon with great natural lighting, large tropical plants, and classic brick. Very Instagram-able! The cherry on top is the salon mascot, Izzy, the impossibly small pomeranian that, I would argue, is the one really running the show. I will always come back to Havana Salon.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Havana salon! Laurie did such an amazing job with my hair. She is such a kind, friendly, and very professional stylist. Her passion for coloring and styling hair is evident in her work. She takes her time and doesn't rush the process. She definitely knows her stuff and is a hair coloring/styling genius. ❤️ I have been wanting purple highlights in my hair for awhile now but just couldn't muster up the courage to finally pull the trigger and do it. She was so helpful and incredibly knowledgeable during my consultation. She answered all of my questions and helped make me feel so confident and comfortable with the color choice. She exceeded my expectations and the results are absolutely gorgeous!! It was everything I had envisioned and more. Not to mention my appointment was on my 33rd birthday which made it even more special. It had been exactly 3 years since getting my hair done professionally. I will most definitely be a returning customer and will not go anywhere else. This mother daughter duo is a force to be reckoned with in the beauty industry. I can hardly wait for my next appointment in a couple months. From the bottom of my heart thanks so much Laurie for helping restore my confidence and just helping me feel beautiful. I haven't felt this amazing in a very long time.
