This can be a 2.5 hour hike round trip, not for the faint at heart. No shade at all, lots of Donkey doo, really steep, so returning hurts. Take plenty of water, and determination, you can do it. The view is beautiful. The hike should be done early morning, if not take a buddy.

Went for a hike with my daughter. We entered from Hidden Springs area to start the trail. It was somewhat difficult and definitely a workout climbing up the steep parts of the mountain. The path is easy to follow going up, but not so clear going down and we found ourselves off the path. We encountered a rattlesnake as we were coming down halfway, it was a very close call. We saw lots of caterpillars, lizards, and bees/ wasps (yikes). Watch your steps and always have first aid kit packed. Pretty shaken up from snakes, won't be going for a while, but that's there home so beware.

Omg! This Mountain is insane! It is a serious hike but it was so much fun! Now it is super bloom of California poppy and the mountain sides are so gorgeous! The views are breathtaking ! Just be sure to take water for you and your furry friends)

Box Springs is alot more difficult although not a killer unless it's hot.
There is a pay box sycamore canyon entrance. But doesn't give change or a receipt. So no one pays because there is no proof of it.
