NORTY FLATZ

My folks had an original "Family Membership" from Ted (NOT "TG"), back in the 1970's. Us kids used to enjoy the pool facility, tennis courts and restaurant. (Take out to the pool.) While our folks played golf. My dad was an AVID golfer there. 3 times a week for 30 years. For Christmas, Ted would fly his helo (Hughes 500D) on the Tee on 1 to deliver Santa Claus. (Eventually, I would fly that same bird back from SAN w/R. Fletcher as pilot.) Easter, we had the egg hunt. As years passed, my kids took part in this tradition, also. Occasionally, my sister and I would visit the restaurant on Friday evenings for dinner. (I even had 1 young server ask me if I was famous.) I said, WAS? LOL! Anyway, some suit strode up and asked us if we were members. Since our answer was "Not anymore" we were tossed out. That kinda left a bad taste. So, now that this has happened, my church will no longer be using ECCC for their golf fund raiser. Neither will my car club use this facility, anymore. So you see, it really didn't pay out for ECCC...

Cool So Cool

Played here on a member for a day outing with my buddies. We had a great time. We got the invite from America Golf Corporation for $39. Not bad of a deal. The course is in a good playing condition. Greens were fairly slow. The reason this course is not getting higher rating is mainly because of average layout and not as challenge as other private courses.
