This review is being made after getting info about their business practices. Not too long ago, myself and a buddy called the store to notify them that we’ll be stopping in for a PPT (Just to be courteous). We were told by an employee that they stop doing PPT’s at 3pm.. That’s FOUR HOURS before they close. It wasn’t until visiting another gun store to complete the transfer where we told them about our experience at Firearms Unknown that they informed us that it’s actually illegal to turn down a PPT or leave us without any help. After transferring the firearm, I made a stop in the store where it came to a shock that they weren’t busy at all and nothing was posted stating they stopped doing them at a certain time (trust me.. I checked). That’s bad practice for an up and coming store in the 2a community. I will be reaching out to the DOJ to notify them about the incident. Staff did appear to be helpful, but the bad unfortunately weighs out the good in this situation.

I came in minutes prior to closing and they went out of their way to answer all questions and assisted with my purchase. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Not a big selection of guns and when I walked in there I didn't even get acknowledged by any clerk. One was too busy talking to his friend and the other one just didn't care.

They only got 3 stars for being great for what they have now. Once the store is finished, I'm sure they'll be best in the area. Unlike the store in El Cajon, ran by the tiny rude guy with poor service.

Yes, absolutly. Just come on in to one of our locations and we can go over the process on how to go about doing that. Thank you for your question.
When you say suppressor, do you mean a sound suppressor or flash suppressor? Sound suppressor's are not legal in California. Flash suppressor's vary based on the brand, function etc. Hope this helps.
Hello La Frida, thank you for the question! We always recommend coming in so you can test a couple firearms in person. Once you feel like you found a firearm/ type of firearm you would like to purchase to train and get more comfortable with, we can start the paperwork. You can always come in and get a feel for the different firearms we offer and we can answer all your questions on different type, calibers, or any other questions you might have related to a firearm. We have great knowledgable staff at each of our locations and would love to make sure you get the right fit for you. Soon as you are ready to make the purchase, we will need, VALID CA ID or DL, Birth Certificate or Passport (not needed if you gave CA Real ID), Valid Proof of Residency (DMV Reg., Fishing/ Hunting License, Water Bill, SDGE with Matching Address), and your Firearms Safety Certificate (FSC) which is a 30Q test you can get with us for $25. If you have any other questions please call 619-507-3174 or stop in!
Of course, that is what we are here for. We are open everyday 11a-7p. Feel free to drop by any time.
Depends on the guns and how much of the build you plant on doing yourself. We have a great staff that can help answer your questions. Come on in, we are open 11a-7p every day.
