I've been going to Lenka since 2011 and have had her massage therapy, cupping, Neural Reset Therapy and reiki services. She is amazingly intuitive about what your body needs, professional in all aspects of her business, and she really cares about how you are feeling at the end of each session. I recommend her for any of her services without any reservation.

I have been seeing Lenka for over a year and always look forward to my sessions with her, I leave feeling nourished and relaxed. She attends to my aches and pains with care, I can also say that I have found her NRT treatments especially helpful relieving pain and tightness in injured or sore joints.

I am so happy I found Lenka. She is the most calming person I have ever known. I'm usually frazzled and knotted up in so much chronic pain when I arrive, so her ability to first peel me off the ceiling and then turn me into putty is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and uses several techniques to do this. I highly recommend Lenka!

One of the best! Lenka has been my massage therapist for many years ( I think around 10 years). I have followed her from the spa on the westside to her SE private practice driving across town to see her...that is how good she is!! I love her constant strive to learn the newest and best techniques/interventions for her clients. Her newsletters are full of great tips/ideas for home care, she gives great suggestions to continue the benefits of the massage until the next visit and her style calms you even when you are at your worst! She is awesome!!

Questions & Answers

How often should I get a massage?

If you've been working hard, stressed out, healing from an injury or just feel like life's been kicking your behind lately, massage may be the extra support you need to find your balance again. If it's been a while since your last massage or if you're in pain, my general recommendation is 3 sessions, two weeks apart to work out the old stuff, and then see what your body needs after that. Most of my regulars get massage about every 2-4 weeks. Others may only need massage every 2 or 3 months. It all depends on what's happening between those sessions: stress levels, posture, overuse patterns, chronic pain or inflammation, stretching/movement, self care, hydration, other body therapies, diet and lifestyle choices, etc.

I've never had a massage. What should I expect?

Your comfort is my biggest priority. Let's walk through a typical session so you know what to expect: We'll start by going over your intake form and chatting about any problem areas/goals for the session. I'll go over instructions on what to do, where to put your things, help you choose an essential oil for your session (optional) and I'll step out of the room so you can change. You'll be covered with a sheet & blanket, and only the area I'm working on will be undraped. A full body massage typically includes work on the neck, back, glutes/hips, legs, feet, scalp, face, pecs, arms & hands. If you'd prefer to skip anything or focus on any areas, just let me know. After your massage, I'll step out while you get dressed. When you're ready we'll check in on how the session went, I'll write down any recommendations I may have for you, take payment and schedule your next appointment if you'd like. I consider it an honor in making sure your first massage is an excellent experience!

What about tipping?

Since this is a common question, I just want to clarify that tipping is not necessary or expected. My goal is to make scheduling & receiving massage as easy as possible for you. If you love what I do, referrals to friends and family members are always appreciated, and leaving a review on Google helps potential clients learn more about my work. Thank you!

Is massage therapy covered by insurance?

It's definitely worth checking to see if you have benefits for massage therapy. I offer billing for motor vehicle accident insurance with a prescription from a physician (can be an MD, ND or chiropractor) and a valid/open claim. Health insurance billing for massage is not currently available in my office.

6542 SE Lake Road, Suite 106, Milwaukie 97222.  Off of Hwy 224, between Lowe's and Bob's Red Mill Restaurant in the Lake Road Medical Building (on the North side of Lake Road). My office is located around the back of the 6542 building, and there are signs to follow once you drive up to the main building. Parking is easy and there are no stairs to deal with. My office is in the same building as Mitchell Physical Therapy, Pacific Foot & Ankle, Pacific Pain Management and Eastside Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.  It's a great central location near the I-205/Milwaukie Hwy 224 exit. Neighboring cities are Portland, Sellwood, Oregon City, Happy Valley, Gladstone, Oak Grove and Clackamas, and it's within reasonable driving distance from West Linn, Lake Oswego and Damascus.
