Great trail with a beautiful overlook! This trail could be a bit harder for small children or those who are new to hiking. Take it slow and enjoy the ledges!

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous! I love how beautiful this trail is and how much it's shaded. It's really cool at the bottom of the ledges and when you climb back up you can feel the change in temperature. This trail isn't to hard to hike but make sure to wear shoes with good tread. UPDATE: I hiked here again on February 18, 2022 and it was covered in ice on portions of the trail. I got a lot of beautiful shots of the ledges but I highly recommend wearing snow cleats over your shoes and take trekking poles when you hike here in the winter.

Wonderful park with really interesting geography. The trail is somewhat challenging, but can be navigated by children and older adults. Really beautiful views as you can see. Not to be missed! From the official website: "Ledges Trail is a 2.3 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Peninsula, Ohio that features a cave and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash."

Don’t skip this hike if you visit The Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It’s gorgeous. We were there on a rather warm day but it’s shaded the whole way. There is a little rocky terrain but it is an easy hike with no real major inclines. There is a restroom about half way through which is nice, especially for all of the families with younger children. How lucky are we to have a National Park in northern Ohio?
