This is a review of lunch service, sitting outside. Inside is cute and cozy, with service being as prompt and friendly as needed, not rushed. It’s interesting… is this place a nice bar that serves food? Or a restaurant that also does drinks? The alcohol list is much more extensive than the menu, but that’s not a bad thing at all. My removal of one star comes from pretty unassuming things but they are important. Our silverware was dirty and napkins had a few crumbs in them. Not dirty like covered in flies, but with water spots and food particles that survived the wash. More gross than actually harmful. The plates are of good quality ceramic, but the flatware itself is pretty boring cafeteria quality. It has been around the block and back again. Yes I know Heinz is from Pittsburgh. The problem is that it’s packed full of high fructose corn syrup and industrially farmed. It’s not good for you. Wish they had higher quality healthier options from organic brands for the condiments. The 4 star rating comes mostly, then, from the food which was quite tasty and came out quickly, and from good service. Finally, think about avoiding the water. Like almost every place in Pittsburgh, the water isn’t actually good to drink. It has dangerous levels of lead and chromium and tastes strongly of the chlorine derivative used to clean it at the source. Not ideal. But absolutely nothing to do with any individual place I review; so it doesn’t affect the stars. I also reviewed the fanciest places in town and their tap water is the same. Anyway, lots of small notes here but Lula actually is worth a visit and has tons more options for dinner than lunch, so it’s a steal of a deal for either option. Lunch is incredibly well priced. Nice.

I have been here twice the first time was good. But, this time was a complete flopp. There was a full head of lettuce uncut on the plate. No dressing applied, nor the Caesar ingredients with dressings on the side. Really??! Lousy service on their part. Go elsewhere! You've been warned...I never went to such a place. Not a good day. Left most of the meal right there. No, No, No! Look at the picture below...

The food is not good nor the service. I ordered a warm Caesar salad. What I received was an uncut head of Romaine warmed with the ingredients of the salad on the side. Really?? 6/27/2022. This is why I went out to eat today for service. I could have saved the $20 and ate at home. Poor service and hospitality here. I suggest try another place in Sewickley.

Went for lunch here today. Arrived at 12:50p ordered waters and a wine. 20 minutes goes past, no one comes back for our order. There were 6 other patrons in the restaurant. When I went to pay for the wine so that we could leave to eat I was asked if I wanted our food boxed. We were obviously completely forgotten. My card was tossed back to me when attempting to pay for the wine. Thankfully, we weren't charged. Person on staff was carrying on conversations to the point that we were completely ignored. The customer service needs significant improvement. We do not recommend. ***03/15/2022 Edit - Response to Owner's Comments*** I arrived less than 3-5 minutes after my wife and 5 year old did (I was using the parking app to pay outside, that's why I was delayed). The person on duty came and took our drink order (all of us, I was sitting right there) and said they'd come back to take our food order, as I've previously stated. Then after waiting and waiting for over 20 minutes as she enjoyed having conversations with a woman in the corner, she totally forgot us. When I went to pay she asked if we'd like our food boxed. She never came back to take our order, so obviously it was impossible to box food that was never ordered. She thought she did take our order. With that few people in the place it was ridiculous that she completely ignored us. On a positive note, we found really good burgers at Sidelines. It was close by and service was impeccable. I would encourage others to visit them if you'd like prompt, excellent service and great burgers and sandwiches. They had a great drink selection too.
