One of my favorite places to volunteer! There seems to always be a good variety if change from day to day in what you are doing.
The staff is always super friendly and helpful and so are the other volunteers you meet there.

If your are disabled and can't stay in line going to get the food is a waste of time. I'm on oxygen and what I just witnessed is unbelievable.

We love the annual Street Music Week. Why in the world is it only from noon to 1:00 and during the last week of school when the kiddos cant experience it?!🎼🙄🍞

Just wondering about turkey distribution at the arena,specifically disabled accomadations: I will be taking my disabled aunt and wondering if there is a separate line for the disabled and their transportation provider or do they just get in line?

Yes, there is a line for disabled persons. There are volunteers there to help get the meal boxes to your car.
I've been to a few, I'm not sure for your zip code, give second harvest a call, if they can't help you out they will direct you too who can. Second harvest is best for me and my diabetes, also check with local churches.
Go to 2ndharvest.com, I am just a volunteer that works in the sorting of donations and not involved in the distribution.

Second Harvest doesn't actually directly serve families in need--you would need to go to your local food bank, and most don't have strict criteria--if you say you need assistance, they'll help you out. https://2-harvest.org/i-need-food-assistance/

The warehouse is for distibutors, such as small or lardger food banks. They provide food for comuntity centers as well as small local food banks in our area. So if your looking for help i would dial 211 i think for listing of food banks in your area!
