In what world do these holes line up with these screws? It’s such an inconvenience to even go to IKEA, for them to send you miles down the street to grab your items, to have to bring them home and they’re defective. They need to start caring more about their customers and the products they’re selling. Because now I have to take this back as if I don’t have a busy schedule because you can’t do your job correctly. They do not even open until noon and their customer support center is indefinitely closed.

Ok, if you need your kitchen designed, IKEA offers free services. Catch is that with COVID this is mostly done by virtual appointments, especially at the beginning of planning. With a few visits and virtual and phone appointments under our belt, we learned that Google Chrome is best to use with their planning app. And, if you’re lucky to get Maddie for your in-store appointment, you’ve scored well! Not only was she patient with our multiple finalizing requests, she was extremely knowledgeable, professional and polite and best of all, organized ! She explained and provided separate lists of what we could buy and pick up now, vs. those items that are available and will be delivered, and explained why some were on different delivery dates (and yes it’s a separate delivery fee for each shipment), but also gave us our out of stock list and advice to check daily for these items and order them when they become available! We walked out of there with our lists, plan of action, and roughly 2/3 of our entire kitchen renovation list prepaid and scheduled for pick up and/or deliveries! Now we just need to follow up on the out of stocks items. Thanks to Maddie, we felt like we really accomplished a lot last night. Thanks, Maddie! I hope your management sees this and recognizes you as a MVP. Kudos! Next up for us is handles!

Another beautiful IKEA. Enter the shopping center off of Fenton Parkway to avoid the Costco traffic. Plenty of signs to encourage wearing a mask, but not absolutely necessary. Restaurant is upstairs as soon as you walk in and has a really neat vibe to it—and always good pricing. Stock levels seemed good for most products and checkout was actually one of the best I’ve seen with individual lines for each register and a lot of self-checkout options! Treats and sweets shop at the end of checkout even has a self checkout that automatically gives you a number in line for cinnamon buns and ice cream (although the ice cream was all gone when we went on a busy Saturday afternoon).

I work at ikea San Diego, were only accepting 150 orders a day. That's how our system is operating, like Melle said above you have to try and get a slot early 4am-5am even us coworkers have to go through the same process to purchase any items.
Update: the click and collect option is available for 150 orders per day (including employee orders) but you have to be the 4am early bird to get it. Thanks Ikea... I can do early.

Hi! I actually drove to the San Diego location because I could not get pass the " maximum orders allowed". The IKEA employee said they only open slots once or twice a day. The best times to attempt ordering is early morning, late at night (2-3 am), or first thing Sunday morning like I did. Hope this helps.

YES if you mean the Motorized Cart....usually in the Main Entrance and just ask the GREETER for it....

I've just done this recently. You have exactly 24 hours from the beginning of your pickup window time. Make note of what you selected and when they say the ready time is. That's when the clock starts. After that it is put back into inventory and refunded to your method of payment within 8 business days. Hope this helps. =)
