To be honest I have never dealt with a place that is more antibusiness and anti trucking. It seems as if their ultimate goal is to see every truck off the road. They use a terrible website that you have to call in in order to do anything and deal with terrible, rude people who threaten and hang up on you and do not help to register your truck. That's if they answer their phone at all, most of the time it comes up with a message that says they are too busy and hang up. They also insist on faxing everything, a technology that went out with the nineties. Other states DOTs are not near as bad. My advice, don't drive your commercial truck through Oregon.

This is not a DMV. This is the main office of the Motor Carrier Transportation Division. They regulate heavy commercial vehicles, such as semi trucks.
