Enjoyed visiting Harris Farm on Maine Maple weekend. The smell of maple syrup in the making. :)

Spent 2 hours and $40.00 there for maple syrup Sunday. No activities for kids other than feeding cows. Put 25 cents in vending machine for feed and literally, 5 grains dropped out. The rest of our time was spent standing in lines to buy products. Stood in line for 1 hour to buy 8 doughnuts only to wait another hour to finally cancel our order. Waited in 2 different lines to get drinks for the kids.

There are many aspects to Harris Farm. Ski trails when there is enough snow and a maple syrup day plus a small retail store where they sell fresh produce they grew on the farm. They also sell milk in bottles and have several different flavors. The milk is from their cows and freshly readied to sell. Often times they have some locally made ice cream of different flavors but not the same flavors all the time. I've tried a couple of the flavors and both were a true treat, excellent. One of their most popular items is their corn on the cob. There are some different varieties and Harris Farm is far and away my favorite place to buy corn. The reasons are simple, it's freshly picked and it tastes good. If you don't see something you want ask. They're friendly helpful people and long time farmers in the community.

I love XC-Skiing here. The trails may not be groom to the same level as Jackson Tour Center in NH(different equipment), but they do go out each morning and groom the trails. Plus it so much closer to Portland, which makes it easy to just go for a morning or afternoon ski instead of a full day. Plus their chocolate milk, Eggnog, and maple syrup is awesome! And the family that run farm is so friendly and helpful.

Call and ask
To use a debit/credit card there is a minimum purchase. There is a deposit on the glass milk bottles, but we have taken them back and bought a pound of hamburger with the return money.
Give them a call, I would think they need workers.
I don't know for sure, but there's enough snow, and they do a good job grooming the trails. I'd call them in the morning to be sure.
