Came here for the noon meal. Excellent meal and service. Was surprised that hot tea was included. The wife didn't like the soup, but I thought it was excellent.
happy powers
Service was fantastic best Chinese food around for miles

My wife, son, and I go down to the Oregon South Coast often on vacations. This is a spot that was recommended by our local family members. It definitely lives up to there pledge that it is some of the best Chinese food you'll have. Reasonable pricing, great options, and amazingly large portions that left us satisfied and wanting more on the next trip. Our family will be back not only for the quality of the food, but for the great customer service that entertained and helped with our two year old soon. He is a picky eater and loved the vegetable options and potstickers. The Almond Chicken I ordered was amazing and my wife broccoli beef was delicious. Highly recommend checking out Ocean Garden when in Reedsport.

We have patronized Ocean Garden off & on for probably upwards of 20 years. Even back to when they used to be, where the dollar store is now. The egg foo young is good yet the Brown sauce that accompanies it lacks in flavor, reminding me of soy sauce and water thickened with cornstarch. Rather tasteless. The Ocean Garden’s moo goo gai pan, is very good. A white sauce and mixed Chinese veggies. The Chicken Cashew Chow Mein is very good. The soups are dull and even the hot sour soup isn’t spicy at all. And entire review of their menu would be futile, as it is extensive! It’s unfortunate that the ones I tried over the years seem to be geared towards the average American palette. That can be good if your main concern is a lot of food that is not overly spiced. With the dreaded inflation, the prices keep escalating upwards, and they never go down. So when you’re spending $30-$40 for two people to eat, I tend to want some thing that is good and memorable preferably some thing that I can’t cook better myself! Comparing the value of the food (price & quality, taste & satisfaction), it’s my personal opinion that the dining here is mundane. Which is surprising to say about the Chinese Cuisine. If you are looking for sweet-and-sour pork with pork fried rice then this is your place. Large servings and served quickly with a smile. But if you are expecting exciting flavors of the orient, even their specials don’t deliver it.
