Awful location. Between the highway, train, polluting papermill and fruit factory, it's hard to imagine why anyone would camp here. Especially at $70 a night for a small basic site. Showers cost extra. Would not recommend.

Great RV Park near everything fun!! Trains lulled us to sleep and the customer service was outstanding. Winter provides full enjoyment of the Columbia Gorge with no leaves to obscure the excellent view. We will be back, thank you.

If u have a large RV do not go here! The bridge across the river is only 9ft wide with a steel guardrail in one side and oncoming traffic, horrifically including some trucks, inches away. There is NO ROOM FOR ERROR!!! You couldn't pay me enough to ever drive over it again. The alternatives to crossing that bridge are quite limited. They can tell you about the Bridge of the Gods down river, but they don't tell you that the weight limit, 11 tons, precludes large RVs like ours, not to mention low tunnels along that route in Washington that would scrape off your ac units! That leaves the bridge to the East at the Dalles. Better time that right or u will be SOL when its closed for resurfacing Thurs thru Monday... On top of that you will be paying tolls both ways when u take your "toad" across to see the sights in the Gorge, almost entirely on the Oregon side. Its wayyyy better to find a place on the Oregon side, even if it's not exactly where you think you want to situate. I wish I had known all this before going and ending up so stressed we canceled the bulk of our trip and went home to collapse. And BTW, they aren't friendly there and you'll get to hear Jake brakes on the road along with the freight trains on the other side of the park.

Pros: Conveniently located at the base of the White Salmon/Hood River Interstate Bridge, also right next to a 24 mini mart. Campground is well maintained and pleasant. Cons: Expensive and the train is super loud. If you're a light sleeper good luck!
