Went in for my yearly physical ( sept 2021) dr. Kapala did not listen to my concerns about the covid vaccine, only tried to convince me to take it. I shared with her some of the very valid concerns I have( and the severe reaction my 22 year old son directly had from his shot) , and she said to me " nobody has died from the vaccine. You're not going to die from the vaccine " which actually, according to even the CDC site is incorrect. I feel that a dr. Has a responsibility to listen and respect our concerns and research to give helpful, correct information. I also learned, for the first time in my life ( I'm 52) that my cholesterol is slightly elevated. No suggestions on how to fix that...just that its up. Drs don't seem to want to actually help anymore. Just diagnose and push meds. Its unfortunate..but I also want to add here that she is nice, and I don't necessarily have issue with her until she showed that was clearly against addressing anything other than the narrative they have been fed. I hope she starts doing more of her own research to better understand and help ALL her patients.

If you want great and caring services this is the place to go. Of course everyone has their good and bad days but I’ve been with Midcoast medical group for over 30 years and I cannot complain about my care.

After what I experienced today I wonder if the COVID is a hoax folks are right. One of the guests at a holiday party we went to (everyone was vaccinated) tested positive for COVID. Being the good citizens that we are and not wanting to risk adding to community spread we decided to get tested. Well, the first call was to the primary health care provider, they are no longer testing. Next was the pharmacies, they are no longer testing. Then on to over-the-counter tests, no-one has them in stock and don't expect them in anytime soon. I called Maine CDC, they were worthless. I wonder if the past two years was some kind of scam by the "health care industry". They keep saying the virus is spreading but want nothing to do with stopping it.

Courteous staff, excellent communication through the patient portal. The MA's are efficient and prompt. I have not ever waited more than 10 mins to be taken to an exam room. I appreciate their efficiency and prompt response to concerns.
