It's a nice hike, honestly it's alot better than you'd think it'd be so close to the city.

Brought the family out to get some nature. This trail was nice and open with less and of a crowd then the nearby Wildwood attracts. We only saw 3 people on a Saturday. It was a bit wet and slippery in places. And ended up being too hilly for a 3 yr old. Lots of ferns and trees to enjoy.

About 4-5 spots in tiny turn around loop, and room along highway 30 on the side, same side as trailhead only.
5.2 miles, 930 ft elevation gain
There is a small loop right behind the bus stop on st. Helen's road and can fit about 7 cars.
There are not any in the woods of Forest Park or the forested areas connected to it. There is a Forest Park Wildlife Report available from the City of Portland that you can download as a PDF, that will let you know everything you can expect to see.
