Very rarely do I write bad reviews, but the owners have clearly forgotten about this place. (Sad) We visited Otto’s in early August 2022 (it was HOT) and were sadly disappointed. We thought we were going somewhere nice for our anniversary, but left without even ordering dinner. The place is kinda sad, decor is dated, and the dishes, glasses and silverware were dirty, old and worn out. The waitress/hostess was oddly-kind, but I found it weird that before we even sat down she was telling us the specials and what they did/didn’t have, then more about some drinks. We just stood there awkwardly listening. They have two sides, bar/lounge and dining. No air in the bar/lounge, so we were encouraged to sit in dining, NP we wanted a nice dinner anyway. We started with a $25 charcuterie board and a $55 bottle of wine. We are from Chicago so figured it would at least be 1/2 decent for those prices, but given the place we didn’t have high hopes. When the board came out, it was missing several of the items they listed on the menu and the wine was literally WARM! This tells me that the bar/lounge had been without air conditioning for a while. While we picked at our disappointing charcuterie board and choked down 1/2 of a glass of warm wine we spent the rest of our time fighting off the many fruit flies…. We left without ordering dinner because we were just too grossed out. Just down a few doors were some other pretty nice looking restaurants that were busy. Wish we had known better. I will say this though, the raspberry’s on the board were good!

By far the best meal we have had in Maine. The service was excellent. The drinks were amazing and one of a kind. We recommend the Caramel martini. The seafood scampi was delicious. The seared scallops with the maple glaze is out of this world. Great place to get a good quality meal that is well worth every penny.

Can't say enough about what a great experience we had! The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious, and the decor was so interesting. Sitting right next to the Kennebec River, the views are great. You can even take a walk along the river after your meal. My Seared Scallops were fantastic, and we ordered Rum Creme Brulee for dessert. That was absolutely delicious. Pricing is very reasonable, great menu, I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back next time I am back in town!

Otto's stuffed haddock was amazing. The baked brie en croute appetizer was remarkable. Everything down to the complimentary hot baked rolls was incredible and worth every penny... including the staff. They were all very courteous and accommodating. I highly recommend you try it and see for yourself.

We sanitize surfaces between guests, and often throughout. We wear masks, seat at appropriate distances, and observe all other CDC recommendations.
We can. We could give you the dining room for the evening. When do you think it may be? Thanks for inquiring. Wyatt
It's a very large portion served with ample sides. Most people take home enough for lunch the next day.
Yes, you can. They have a very nice lounge. I've been there for just coffe & dessert as well,
