All I needed was help filling out divorce papers. The answer I got was "we don't deal with family law". Than what do they do? I recommend not to use pine tree legal.

Had a legal matter that they were able to get dropped. Great place for help for people who need it. Thanks!

I was driving my sisters truck and had an accident. coming out of a stop sign I hit a car turning onto the road I was coming out of. Can I be sued for this by the other driver? Will the insurance of the car I was driving pay if they decide to sue?

Hi Peter, Thank you for contacting us! Unfortunately, this isn't a kind of legal issue we are able to help with. Generally we are able to help with cases involving housing, public benefits, debts, rights of kids in school, etc. You can learn more about the kind of services we do provide on our website: https://ptla.org We aren't able to give advice online - but if you do have a legal problem we may be able to help with, we have regular walk-in and call-in hours, which you can find on our 'Contact Us' page.

Can I get a highly experienced criminal defense attorney that takes payment arrangements

Thanks for getting in touch! PTLA only provides civil legal aid - free legal help with problems like eviction, public benefits, debt collection, etc. We aren't able to help or advise people about criminal law issues. This article on our website might be helpful - it has some resources for finding a criminal defense lawyer: https://ptla.org/what-happens-if-i-am-charged-crime-maine-can-i-get-lawyer

I worked with CPS from Florida here in Maine. Was lied to and have been ignored for about 2 months now. Until I just said I was going to get a lawyer. Haven't seen any money of any kind from them I have all my receipts and texts and emails still.

Hello, you will have to go in or call during their intake hours for them to answer your question and/or help you. This is a public post on Google, which I'm sure they do not check. You may want to delete the question since its public and contains sensitive info. Good luck and have a great day!!

My 3rd claim to SSDI has been submitted, took them over a month to get my claim into someone's hand to review it. My next move is on hold until they decide, I want to either get back to work or finish my schooling. I can't do either yet.
