This is been my "summer get away" for 20 years! If you look past the dust, heat, sage brush, dust, heat, and snakes it isn't bad. The accommodations consist of dusty extra firm beds with no discernable air conditioning except in winter when it's 20 degrees outside and 9,000 degrees inside with no adjustable thermostat. The staff is non-existent and when they are found you are treated like on of the family; the part the everyone wishes would disappear. Just when you think you have experienced ALL the bad you go to have dinner which is prepared by part time National Guardsmen and any life dreams you may have still had are blown away like dust in the wind.

Terrible, if you expected anything less then terrible you're delusional. Training area in the desert, small PX bring everything you need and small barber shop with weird hours. You've been warned

Great time, huge showers, all you can eat breakfast, staff were very pleasant

It's a military training facility. There's a LOT of open space, a LOT of soldiers, and a LOT of training going on here. What more could you ask for!?

Nope that's in Ellensburg
The training center itself, depends on why you're there. If you're coming for a school, my first recommendation is don't, try to get in somewhere else. If you must come, you'll likely be put up in a hotel in Yakima proper, about 15-20 minutes up the road. If you're coming with a unit to train, you'll be in the most depressing billeting ever. Hope this helps!! :)
