We ate upstairs at the bar/grill area. It over looks the bay side of the outer banks and you can watch many boats coming and going. Food was good. Mussels were done very well and very tasty. I had a Tuna Pretzel roll and I cannot complain. Was very good. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

This place is really beautiful on the water front (but only if you sit upstairs on the top floor or on the far end of the restaurant downstairs or outside) so I would say come when it's not packed because that is a big part of the experience - also recommend coming in sunset time. The food is really good, you can definitely feel they know what they are doing here, my favorite is the scallops and last time I tried the tuna they were great also. Will say it's pretty pricey but not too bad and also gave 3 stars since I forgot my credit card there, thankfully I realized it about half an hour after leaving the restaurant, so we called and on the phone she was having a hard time finding it, then we got there and she said she couldn't find it, we went upstairs to the top floor and when the waitress saw us she immediately understood what we came for. So If we would have listened to the girl in the front, we would have walked away without the card.

I came in right before the dinner rush and did not have to wait to be seated. The staff seemed really friendly. The restaurant got really busy around 5pm but the service was still rather quick. The drinks were tasty. The food was just OK, so I removed a star due to the quality of the food. For the price, I expected the crabs and shirmp to be far better. The seafood did not taste fresh and the shirmp may have been overcooked. The non-seafood dishes were excellent, except the hush puppies that were near rock hard. I still enjoyed the experience and most of the food, I just think the seafood could have been better, especially being a restaurant on the coast.

I’ve now gone twice. Both times were enjoyable. Tasty food, decent to good service. Around sunset it gets busy as everyone wants a waterfront seat…so be prepared for that. Minority Review: not a lot of diversity, (typical nags head) but no feelings of discomfort. Would get 5 stars if they had better atmosphere on the first floor.

Get a reservation and ask for early dinner specials at 4 pm
Best to check directly with the restaurant on these 2 questions. Food is good.
