I like grounded, well maintained old, historical, working class buildings! Also, located in heart of downtown Portland, known as Portland's first "highrise"! Understand, folks can become members for $50, with special organization rates! Only thing missing is a common kitchen.

I like the old style of the building. Its clean, has a lot of history to it. Big ballroom. Sound system or speakers in the hall cant handle dance music. Bring your own.

The building is a hidden gem with an extraordinary 200+ year history connected to the tradition of craftsmanship in Portland and has since reinvented itself a vibrant hub of community events, art, education, and performance.

It's mostly on street. There is top of the hill parking on pearl Street, and a parking garage near the library.
