Times are tough and I get that. We arrived and they were out of two different sides - no problem. I ordered lobster tacos and was excited about my decision. My husband ordered wings. About 40 minutes later the waitress came and told me they were out of lobster tacos. Okay - they told us they’d give us a free meal as a replacement. No problem. 20 minutes later, they came and told us they were out of wings. We’re pretty understandable people but for a Friday lunch in Portland Maine? Something needs improving at this place. Multiple sides out, and out of two other meals seems like some more planning needs to be in store for this place. The free lobster roll was appreciated but we still left pretty bummed. Subpar beer for New England. Plenty other restaurants that seem to have it together in Portland. Don’t make the mistake we did.

Food was decent and well priced but menu was a little small and they only had 1 IPA available.

Big Wally

Great seaside pub and brewery in scenic Portland. Lots of tasty appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, dinners and of course house-brewed beers. Nachos were good, loaded with chicken. Ask for extra jalapeños. Burgers were cooked right, juicy and tasty. Friendly staff and great decor.

We had our first lobster roll here. We don't have anything to compare it to, but the hubs wasn't complaining. It was served on a buttered toasted roll, and went great with both beer and cider. It has a great atmosphere, and if you go down the stairs there is another cozy little bar.
