My great-grandfather was here almost 100 years ago when he was in the Navy

Huge area, countess planes. Unfortunately no WWII piston fighters, but many bombers, and early jets. The inside part of the museum is small, but crammed with interesting items and photos.

Very nice museum and well worth the visit. Work in process at it is staffed entirely by volunteers. Includes memorabilia from PanAm Airline which was based there originally. Lots of models of ships, planes, etc. Enjoyed our time there immensely. Plenty of things that have been saved from the various war periods. They must have close to 1,000 models

For any history buff even remotely interested in the history of the American navy this place is heaven on earth, me and my friends walked in and got our own personal tour guide (a veteran) who explained every exhibit as we passed them, everyone was friendly and the tour was extremely informative. Definitely go take a look if you can spare a few minutes.
