We love Father Peter! Its a simple church but full of love.

I live in Lebanon, and everytime I attend church here I walk out confused. Today in Mass Father denied me communion on the tongue. This has always been Church tradition and only in extreme situations is one permitted to receive communion in the hand. But in no earthly situation can a faithful Catholic be denied Communion on the tongue. Today Father Peter talked about how we should never judges others. The scripture, he was referencing was 1 Cor 4:1-5. I have been taught to believe this scripture refers to judging others salvation. Father Peter spoke as though judging anyone about anything is wrong. His confusing sermon seems to directly contradict Paul's next statement 1 Cor 5, where Paul clearly states we are supposed to judge others on their sins. In fact even to impose judgment, (1Cor5:13), "purge the evil person from your midst". St Thomas Aquinas says, "an evil action cannot be justified by reference to a good intention" I will pray for Father Peter, and for the wonderful people I know who still attend St Edwards.

Excellent place to worship. Father Peter is a warm and caring man of God. People are really friendly here, and they honestly care about you.

A great place to get involved with your Church community. It offers both English and Spanish Mass and also has coffee and donuts after the 10:30 Mass. Lots of ministries that off help in the community and housed the largest food bank in Linn County with St. Vincent de Paul in their back parking lot.
