I try very hard to give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt when I go in and something goes wrong and they fix the problem right away. My visit to the IHOP in Dumfries Virginia is the except. I was greeted and seated by a rather large gentlemen who was wearing to lunch cologne. The smell was very strong and I was wearing a mask. This same gentleman was wearing all black and his clothes were very dirty. I sat there for 13 minutes before the same gentleman came back to take my order. Then it was another 25 minute wait for my food to arrive. My order came with 2 pancakes and when he delivered it to me he failed to make sure I had syrup. By the time I noticed there was no syrup on my table he had disappeared so I started eating with hopes he would return soon. I had finished 75% of my meal when he popped back out and I ask for syrup and he kindly brought it over from another table to me. My meal was great except for the pancakes they had a bad texture and practically no taste. I'd recommend adding some vanilla extract to the pancake batter. Overall I would rate this visit a 2 out of 10.

I ate here on 2-8-22 my nieces B'day 🎁🎉. She order the Split Decision. She said she liked it. I ordered the creat your own omelette. I had to return the first one. The eggs were over cooked & cold. The second omelette was perfect. Smoking hot & yellow

We got seated right away. The food was good and plenty. The server was professional, she came back in between getting new customers and checking on us. She asked was we please and could she get anything else for us several times without us requesting for assistance.
