My family has all used Paul Richter for auto and home policy's, a lot of us have switched over to new insurance company's due premiums being too high with Paul, but also experiencing lack of manners and poor quality from his office. about a week ago a client and myself went into Paul's office to update a policy. client is mostly Spanish spoken and has been covered with Paul for over 10 years, I was there for support. Paul's response was unpleasant, uncomfortable and unhelpful we left. Later the client emailed Paul cancelling policy and requested information to be sent over to a new agent. A day or 2 goes by and no information has been sent to new agent. I call the office to reach out and I'm told it will take 3 days. waited.. no information email to new agent. called. Now supposedly it will take 24 hours. Still no information. We just want to be DONE with Paul and his office.

Deserving of no stars, but that's not an option. I've been with State Farm for 40 years, the last 20 with Richter; can't ever recall him reviewing the policy to be sure that its provisions adequately covered my needs. Filed a claim last month for damage caused by a neighbor's tree falling onto my property; claim was denied outright. Don't ever think that Richter will advocate for your cause; my experience is that he'll take your annual premium with a smile, but leave you out to dry when you file a claim. Switching to another insurer for better coverage for half the price. Beware: there are no Good Neighbors at State Farm

Me and my wife have been with Paul for over 16 years. This is our story. We have two cars and a home. Earlier this year we started shopping for an SUV. I called talked to Paul to find out how much my insurance would change adding another vehicle. Obviously I wanted to know because different vehicles can cost more. I was looking at a Ford Explorer limited. So I asked Paul for a quote. We talked for about 20 minutes. Final monthly cost was quoted at 204 and some change. Not bad only an increase of about 40 dollars for us. It had all the safety feature which we really liked. Picked it up a week later. This of course is where it all goes down hill. I called to add the new vehicle to our coverage. Only to find out the price is actually 261. I'm like no I talked to Paul last week 204 was the quoted price. The response was oh it looks like he forgot to include the home. This was a lie because I know my home insurance is only about 30 dollars. The math didn't add up. Paul never talked to me again only Elizabeth. And she insisted it was for the cars only. These people are shady. They don't care what they quoted or keep track. Price can and will change whenever they feel like it. My advice steer clear look for alternatives. I canceled my insurance with them three days later and ended up saving 130 dollars a month. Do yourself a favor shop around. I guess I owe them a thank you for making me shop around and save money :)
