It's a good fishing spot for crappie fishing, I've seen em pull out some good size cats too. I'm not going to give up but I'm starting to think maybe I just don't know how to fish and its not about luck at all. I was taught how to use a spin cast this week and have been back twice, but alas no bites. If you know what you're doing though, this is an excellent spot.

Nice place to come and see if you're in the area. The park is nice and clean and the view is pretty good too. Fun to watch the boats go in and out of the locks.

Beautiful photography opportunities! Wildlife abounds and close by is a cypress swamp.

Open from sunup to sundown. Has a great outdoor amphitheater that seats almost 200. Basketball, pavilions, etc.
