Not sure if it was open, some stations are not with ConVid. Turns out my planned exit station was closed so missed a trail completion to my exercise and errands excursion. Buses not seen on the way there, on an odd route, so check on schedules, etc. I just walk now, need exercise and stop along the way. This was aborting after 15 miles or so... Ymmv

Clean and safe metro station with a covered walkway between the (huge) parking garage and bus loop. I bike to/from this station most weekdays and there's always plenty of (covered) racks available. Also a great variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the Mosaic district is only a 15-20 minute walk away.

Nice clean station, the manager whomever is on duty is always helpful

Yes there is and a big one, its about $4.75 daily, usually its free on the weekends and federal holidays.
It is dependent on when and where you are traveling. Peak fares are in effect weekdays from opening until 9:30 a.m. and between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. Under peak fares, max fare is about $6, which traveling from Dunn Loring, you can hit rather quickly after passing into DC. Off peak max fare is $3.85.
Dunn Loring Metro Station is on Gallows Road, approximately half a mile from Lee Highway. What, exactly, are you asking?
Depending on how much time I have, sometimes I get on the Vienna bound train so I can get a seat, then I just stay on the train when it becomes the New Carrollton bound train and comes back to Dunn Loring. Only rarely does this not work...maybe 5% of the time the train goes out of service, but its still easier to get a seat at Vienna
Station opens 5AM Monday-Friday, 7AM Saturday, 8AM Sunday As of 4/10/2019, First/Last Train times are as follows: Monday to Thursday New Carrollton 5:04AM/10:52PM Vienna/Fairfax 5:17AM/12:04AM Friday New Carrollton 5:04AM/12:22AM Vienna/Fairfax 5:17AM/1:34AM Saturday New Carrollton 7:04AM/12:22AM Vienna/Fairfax 7:17AM/1:34AM Sunday New Carrollton 8:04AM/10:22PM Vienna/Fairfax 8:17AM/11:34PM
Yes...WMATA has a Metro Smartrip Card 💳.... https://www.wmata.com/fares/smartrip/
Edit: There is now a Capital Bike sharing station right in front of the Metro entrance. You can order them using the Lyft app ($2 for 30 minutes). Unfortunately, there are no bike or scooter sharing services around this area at this time.
This a local train to and around the Washington, DC area, so, No.
