Love goin here and rock hounding so many spots to explore omg it's a rock hounds paradise and if your up for a hike they have plenty of spots to do so and some hike even lead to some pretty amazing views and petrified wood spots

Well worth the amount of money to enjoy and experience this beautiful area. Reserve a spot or search for one like the days of camping with the family as a kid. For those I recommend a discovery pass.

Maximum length of stay is 7 days. (In designated campsites) Dogs must be on a leash. Fires are only allowed in BLM-approved metal fire rings. Discover Passes are NOT valid on BLM-managed lands. Campsites are limited to 10 people and two vehicles per site. Group sites #D and #E at Big Pines are double sites, and are limited to 20 people and two vehicles per site. The Umtanum recreation site will be closed from September 3-December 30, 2019 for bridge repairs and parking lot construction. There will be no public access into the site, or across the footbridge during this time. Open Season Yakima River Canyon Recreation Sites are open YEAR ROUND. Four Campground and Day-Use Sites available, including Roza, Big Pines, Lmuma Creek, and Umtanum. Fees - $15 overnight, $5 Day-Use Campsite Reservations May 01 to September 30; first come, first serve October 01 to April 30. No Drinking Water or hookups available. Cellular Phone Coverage is limited in many areas of the Yakima River Canyon.
