This place was so good! We all shared appetizers as small plates and they were delicious; especially the corn. There was also a large selection of tequilas and they were very moderately priced. The vibe here is great and I would love to come back.

Heard the margaritas were phenomenal so I had to drop by. I always check a Mexican restaurant quality by its tacos. Kyle, the devil he is, convinced me to give their chile relleno a go. He did NOT disappoint. The sauce is amazing! Guajillo, tomatillo and cilantro lime blend masterfully. The rice, made fresh to order, picked up the melted cheese and sauce magnifying the umami to the next level. Topping it with their carnitas was the piece de resistance! I still couldn’t fight the urge to try at least ONE taco so I grabbed an asada taco. With an Asian fusion soy marinade, the taco was heaped tall with asada and capped out dinner perfectly. All throughout the meal, I was able to indulge in the Kyle margarita (yeah, he created it!). Get it, it slays! Come enjoy a great evening of open air dining with great company (ask for Kyle, he is hilarious)! 😉

Really awesome experience visiting Barrio Star for an evening with friends in town. This place had awesome service and all the ambiance we could ask for with a live steel drum performance. The food was all extremely high quality and tasted fresh, which the restaurant prides themselves on. Prickly pear margarita was great, as was the Chile relleno. Didn’t seem like you could really go wrong with any of the dishes. Will definitely be going back!

The tacos were really really good. 5 dollars each on taco tuesday.... above average. However for the area, it was good enough and they closed late. The steak taco was my favorite. I got another. Corn was burnt. Nachos are good. Margarita did more for my friend than me.
