Really cool stop, just beware of occasional long wait times: if you complain you WILL be publicly humiliated and put in your place! (As you deserve) I’ve visited this stop multiple times, but this was the first time I stopped in for food. They were incredibly backed up due to them having only 1 cook at the time. I had no problem with this, but some of the other customers did even though they got a heads up. After about an hour I got my food, but I got the wrong order. I ordered a veggie omelette and got a Denver omelette. I didn’t say anything because honestly it tasted way above average not even considering the staffing issues. Some folks next to me weren’t even there half as long as me, but decided to start complaining about how long they’ve been waiting even though they were travelers. I only found out because the waitress scolded them in a rather loud voice letting everyone in the restaurant hear. It was awesome I loved it because this is not a place you stop into on your way to work. If you want to be in a rush, get back in the left lane on I-90 and stop at McDonalds! I will be back here again as I do every time I’m traveling I-90 even though it took an hour and 15 minutes to get my food and it was the wrong order. The bar is a nice spot to hang out at. Would’ve been 5 stars but the bartender at the bar was rude when I was the only person she was serving during another trip through the area.

The restaurant either sucks, or they were having a bad day both times I have been. Our waitress was awesome. Food not so much. Typical "tourist trap", but definitely worth stopping by and checking out. We found reasonably priced souvenir shirts.

I'll share this from a Truckers perspective: 1. Parking - There is always truck parking no matter the time of day or night. 2. Bathrooms - Have always been clean every time I've been here. 3. C Store - Normal, not a lot of options. 4. Has a motel. I can't comment on it because I haven't stayed in it. 5. Restaurant and bar - Restaurant has been good, not great, the couple times I've eaten there. I like the bison burger and country fried steak. However, the menu is overpriced and bland. Also, they are open until 2300, but only serve dinner until 2130. So, not great. Did I mention overpriced? Haven't drank at the bar so can't comment. 6. Gift shop - A big tourist trap. There are some cool things, though, if you look hard enough. 7. Huckleberry ice cream - Awesome! This is the reason I stop here. Very good. 8. Has a small casino if you're into that. So, it has some good stuff and whatever stuff. I'll come back for the ice cream and parking.

I think it's funny how people expect so much from a place with a great reputation, but the reality of it is that the silver dollar inn doesn't have too much going for it which is what I love about it. I spent the night here with my family and we had a great time with the scenery being out in the middle of nowhere. Just the soft roar of the freeway and the company of other people. Truly I love the gift shop and the restaurant and bar was also delightful. The hotel rooms were nice and clean and I was made feel very welcome there. I can't wait to go back and stay longer so I can explore the rest of Montana.

There are a million things to look at there. It's been a favorite stop for my kids since they were very little. Be prepared to buy a toy! I would highly recommend stopping by there.
It's free and we have limited power and water hookups. Parking is first come first served. If you're here late you may not get hookups but there's plenty of room to park.
I didn't stay, but I'm assuming 3 check in and 11 chek out.
The older couple that was there works for the owner. They didnt mention their name.
Just keep stopping by...
Yes they do
You can catch the wifi from your semi if your parked on the east side of the Exxon.
