This place is great, plenty of beach to not be to close to your neighbor

The beaches in Bandon are our favorites. This February trip we walked the beach near Face Rock and the next access point south. At Face Rock there are countless basalt rocks surrounded by tidal moats. We didn’t see sea stars or hermit crabs as we had down at Brookings, but we saw many California mussels and barnacles. There are a few holes clear through the base of massive basalt rocks. It was a couple hours away from low tide, and we could walk up to the holes but their floors were covered with water. One hole doesn’t go all they way through to the far side but it’s big enough to walk in and go back about 10’ or more. If you visit Face Rock in the spring I believe you will see the top of the larger rocks blanketed in baby puffins (or some other sea bird).

Gorgeous spot to take a stroll and stretch your legs. It's a beautiful place. There is parking available and just a short walk to the beach. It was a very calm day when we went.

1968. You could have just used Google... 😁
There are more campgrounds in the area. One not the river on the other side of 101 just past the bridge going north on the right side. Minimal services and no dump. Others in Bandon offer more services.
