I will not name any names, but the way we were treated and the laziness I experienced with this department is so disheartening. Long story short, a family member was missing, I reported them missing ( they are fine now thank goodness, but didn't know at the time). There was a lot of shady stuff that had occurred with the disappearance. While I did get help from some of the staff, the sheriff assigned to the case was dispicable. I reported it on his "friday", and instead of the case passed to the next officer on duty, it wasn't touched for 4 days. I was told to follow up with the officer when he was back on duty, only to be dismissed the second I talked to him. I would ask him questions, only to have him respond with "Ma'am, its my monday", over and over again. Thank god we were able to to solve this situation our selves, with no help from the sherrif. I feel awful for the next family that needs help, hopefully they will get a sheriff who actually seems to care.

They answered the phone,,, they will not deal with an extremely loud dog at 10 o'clock at night in lakeside. I was told I can have my deputy call you. We will only send animal control tomorrow. To protect and to serve... I guess not.

Reported a restraining order being broken by messages. When officer showed up messages stopped when he left they started again but with death threats this time. The officer went back. Called me 45 min later to tell me he knows the guys meth addict friend and has to believe him and not the evidence I sent him on his own phone. Wow thanks for making us feel protected. Nice knowing we can count on you to take a meth addicts word. I have no faith in our officers at this point. Sad very sad.

A Coos County Deputy: helped me out today. I was stuck in the sand. His name was Sergeant Will Coleman. He was polite, courteous and extremely helpful. Thank you very much. L.H.Haller

Maybe they understood that a multi billion dollar taxpayer bill for a wall that could be easily breached by a grinder wasn't a good way to spend the money.

You must add to inmates account on Tellmate. Getingout.com I believe is also a contracted company depending on what county jail.
