We stumbled upon this place after American Airlines canceled our flight. The silver lining was this restaurant. Incredible food. Everything we tried was amazing, including the desert sampler. If we did not live on the east coast we would be here all the time.

We’ve been traveling for weeks, eaten throughout the west where fresh food is abundant but we oohed and awed at the quality of the food, the sophisticated menu and delightful subtile and surprising spice additions that raised the level of each dish. The wine list brought me home to Napa and Sonoma Valley with fine wines to compliment the cuisine presented.

Nicely decorated restaurant. Cocktails were excellent. Good was well cooked and presently nicely. I had the bison medallions which were wonderfully tender and cooked to medium rare perfectly. There was a hint of flavor in the sauce that was quite nice but simply hidden away - it needed to be more forward to really make the dish go to the next level and be truly delicious. The dessert was excellent. Blueberry lemon cheesecake. Balanced nicely with sweet and lemon tartness with the richness of the cheesecake.

I always wanted to try the fine dining experience here. We have tried their three- course Valentine Dinner menu. Positives - The hostess greeted us with warmth and she escorted us to our table. I have never seen a more efficiently run restaurant in the Bismarck-Mandan. Our water glasses were always filled. Our waitress is the right amount “chatty”. The food portions are on the plus side to me. I never like big portion plates. Neutral - Ambiance was fine. I feel like the table were too small for two people. But I would imagine it could be uncomfortable for people that needs more leg room. I did like that it was not really noisy for a busy day. Negatives - I didn’t think the food was special. I mean if you’re paying 75+ per person, you’d be expecting something elegantly different to your palette. Something special or creative. I had the fish cakes and bass and they were okay. The fish was cooked perfectly but the sauce and the vegetables paired with it didn’t create a magical moment for me. The only thing I enjoyed was the dessert served. I love Pavlova and they actually nailed it! It’s a shame though because the entrée should have been the main attraction. We might give it another try next month or so I don’t know.

I have never not seen lamb burgers on their bar menu. They are glorious, like everything else here.
