First off, the restaurant was not busy as it was 5:15pm when we showed up, so we were seated right away. However, it took over 10 minutes to order drinks, and another 10+ to get them. Cornbread is no longer offered at the beginning of the meal, only rolls. Cornbread is now an appetizer. The hummingbird cake is still on the menu, but is no longer offered. Our table was not cleaned properly before we were seated. So, all in all, I was not impressed. I've been to this Cotton Patch many times before, and have never had this bad of an experience. Maybe it's under new management?

Ordered pick up from here. While my food was ready at thr time specified and i was even 5 minutes early, it was horrible. They gave me a piece of frozen peach cobbler that had not been baked! I got fried okra and i counted it was 13 pieces. The patty melt was dry, hardly any sauce and the meat was burnt. And we asked for a loaded baked potato and they placed the toppings but no potatoes and gave an apple juice. I didnt bother to go back because i now understand why the parking lot is never full. Ill also complain to corporate.

The Cotton Patch Cafe used to be my number one place for southern comfort food. Recently, I have noticed certain aspects of each experience that have not gone very well. I will say that the staff is always friendly and helpful when trying to decide on what to eat. However, a restaurant is not made on wait staff alone. While the majority of our food was good, a few dishes lacked the quality I would expect from a Cotton Patch Cafe. The fries that accompanied my dish were stale and not very fresh. My wife loves the fried green tomatoes, but was disappointed when they arrived without half of the breading. All in all, these aren't necessarily things that will ruin my meal, but they didn't enhance the experience at all. Honestly, if the wait staff wasn't so nice and friendly, a lower star rating would have been given. I will be back to give this restaurant another chance.

It gets 4 stars because of the staff friendliness, but I'd give a 3.5 overall. Everybody was very pleasant, but service was a bit slow. The cheese fries were great, along with the rolls and the chicken fried chicken. I added grilled chicken to the child's spaghetti, and it was a little dry. My mashed potatoes had a slight 'sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be served' film on the top, such I easily removed. The potatoes and green beans were good. The restroom was clean, and the interior and exterior of the restaurant were as well.

Very good. Even take a wrist temperature when you enter. Good separation.

No. Cotton Patch Cafe in Wylie will be closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but will be open Saturday from 11AM-10PM.
Service was slow last time I was there too. You might get faster reaction if you message them thru facebook!
Thanks all. I searched the menu first. When I typed scottish eggs near me Google pulled them up as someone who had them.
Not sure about evening specials, suggest you call them area
Top restaurants always have people wanting to get in. There's always a reason for never having to wait. We dine there when ever we can. If the wait seems too long, we go elsewhere. Young staff is always eager to serve well and we'll it has always been. We love the Cotton Patch!
