Nice bike ride. Challenging incline as you get close to Mt Vernon. Good views of Potomac. Well paved.

So far this is the best trail I ever been on. You get to pass around the memorials,plane landing watch area & beautiful bodies of water scenes. Anacostia is next up

Great paved trail between DC and Mt Vernon. Parked at Jomes point rode to Mt. Vernon and back. Gets twisty and fun in some areas. Alternates from woods to Great views of the river. More hills than advertised gets hillier the closer you get to Mt. Vernon. Great ride.

As always, a beautiful walk and a great experience. Nothing compares. I've recently moved but plan on walking this trail every chance I get whenever I visit the DMV.

If you mean parking, then yes. There are various spots along the parkway you can park. Or at the very beginning. Where you can actually get to walk the trail
The trail itself is probably still open. Due to the lapse in appropriations, the facilities are closed.
