Eco-School Network
Backyard Bird Shop is a rockstar supporter of the Eco-School Network! Thank you to all the leaders and employees as they support us again this year! Backyard Bird Shop is more than a retail store, it’s a trusted community resource for information that helps connect people to nature all around them at home. They join the Eco-School Network as we all do our part to take care of the Earth.

I love the wide range of solutions available at these stores - practical and aesthetic. Solved my squirrel problem (suet in wired basket encircled by outer basket) plus spraying with cayenne pepper (birds can’t detect it!). Also I really enjoy putting out nesting batting - hummers and goldfinches load up on it, especially when it’s a cold spring. Makes me feel good.

Beautiful shop with so many wonderful things for your backyard, or for gifts. Beautiful ornaments, feeders, decorations, bird and squirrel feed, wind chimes, info pamphlets etc. Lovely, helpful staff.

Love this shop. Found a unique gift for a family member. I will be going back closer to spring to get a mason bee home and a few feeders for the yard. Highly recommend!!!

Backyard Bird Shop enforces mask wearing by all - customers and staff. We also limit the number of customers inside at a time, have hand sanitizer available, Plexiglas at registers and encourage social distancing indoors.
We are open to the public!
Suet prices range greatly depending on the brand. There is a "Product List" on our website that has case prices based on brands listed.
Louis is correct - coupons are in our newsletter that is mailed four times a year and one postcard for year. We also have a coupon in Chinook Book and occasionally at events (such as Portland Audubon's Wild Arts Festival). Thank you for asking!
I am sorry - we do not sell pet birds - we sell seed and nuts for wild birds.
