Views are amazing. The trail is a lot of fun, a little difficult but I didn't mind because it was so beautiful!

This is my favorite local trail living in the Lakewood area. Nothing too hard, great views, and a 2nd parking lot was recently added (can't park on the road leading in anymore, lots of no parking signs). From the this side, you get a great view of Red Rocks Amphitheater more or less right from the Trailhead sign. This is mostly a moderate, leisurely hike. From this trail head, the beginning is a bit tougher than the rest, but, once you find the top, its very manageable. Look for the more tucked away east Trailhead for easier access to the castle!

Great hike close to Denver. Busy today but perfect weather to enjoy the foothills. Traction devices suggested, hiked with MicroSpikes and appreciated not worrying about footing.

After years of only hiking Mount Falcon Park from the West Trailhead, I decided to switch it up and take a hike from the East Trailhead. Explored the Turkey Trot Trail Loop (3 miles) and greatly enjoyed the views of Red Rocks, Denver and a little peek at the Divide. This side of the park is more uphill, which is perfect if you're looking for a good outdoor workout. If you're hiking with kids or out of state visitors, I recommend hiking from the West Trailhead, which has gentler inclines and more interactive features (e.g. the Walker Home Ruins).
