I had the best experience at True Society! Mainly because of Sydney! She made me feel so comfortable, which was very important to me! She was not pushy when I decided to leave without saying yes to the dress! But, she knew I’d be back! :) I’m so grateful for her and her flexibility in getting me in the day after on such short notice! I came in and finally got to say yes to the dress and I’m SO obsessed! Also, so thankful they didn’t make me limit the people I brought with me. They let me bring ALL of my people which was amazing! Can’t recommend enough!

I had the best experience finding my dress at True Society. I was very nervous about going dress shopping. However, upon making my appointment at True Society the consultants immediately eased my nerves. I filled out a questionnaire describing the dress I envisioned for my special day and spoke on the phone with a consultant a few days before my visit. This helped me go into the appointment with a relaxed and positive mindset. We had the upstairs room which was so private and comfortable. I worked with Alex M. who was so wonderful! She was so kind and fun and I really trusted her opinion. She helped me feel relaxed and confident in my decision when I said YES to the dress. It takes approximately four to six months for a wedding dress to arrive, depending on the designer. Please take this into consideration when scheduling your appointment. Once your gown arrives, you should also allow six to eight weeks for alterations before the wedding. We recommend starting the wedding dress shopping process nine months to one year prior to your wedding date, so you can avoid rush fees and enjoy the experience! For bridesmaid dresses, plan to allow three to four months for shipping and one to two months for alterations. If you are working within a shorter time frame, please call our bridal shop at (816) 293-4844 and we can discuss other options with you.
Yes! We carry more than 50 plus-size wedding dresses, ranging up to a size 32 for you to try on in-store. Many of our gowns are available to order up to a size 34.
Yes, we are a proud retailer of Sorella Vita and carry a wide range of sizes (up to size 28) and colors from which to choose. If you schedule a bridesmaid appointment at our bridal shop, you will also have access to our luxurious Bridesmaid Suite—with individual fitting rooms for your ‘maids to enjoy their own private try-on session!
They even have their dresses sorted (at least at this one) by price ranges. The stylist does a good job of explaining the ranges and styles in each range, plus will tell you the price if it's out of your range from the get go. I had an amazing first experience with them!
