Awesome venue!! Two stories. Upper level has restrooms (no line) a bar, and outdoor area with seating for fresh air. If you get there early and get a spot on the upper level against the railing, great views, and there’s a spot under the a/c if you’re lucky to find it!

Fun venue. Good sound. I like that they offered earplugs at the front door. Nice touch. Three stories is cool. Definitely getting a side table next time. That looked fun.

Wet Leg simply slayed it, as expected. We were also thoroughly delighted with the incredible service, from the hostess, to our server, to the security staff. Just really cool, kind people, going above expectations, and with sincere smiles...

This was my first indoor music venue and I loved it! Small, yet more personal. Upper and lower bar and (clean) bathrooms which is great. I would give it a 5 star, however the main performer experienced technical issues during his walk out song, as well as 3 different occasions of microphone screeching. Pretty unacceptable.

Yes, we can accommodate handicapped customers in need of seating. It is highly recommended that you call the box office in advance to make seating arrangements. Please call us at 619.795.1337. Otherwise, please see security upon arrival and every effort will be made to accommodate your needs. Thank you.
No there's a parking lot across the street but you have to pay.
It depends on the type of concert or event. For instance, we can sell up to 705 tickets for a standing-only concert.
The closest hotel is next door: the Bayside Inn, at Ash Street & India Street. The next closest is about 3 blocks: the Hotel Republic, at Columbia Street & B Street. There are many more on the bay, within walking distance of Music Box.
I went to an all ages show there. Tons of kids actually. They carded at the bar. No problems.
For some shows they offer vip tables. Really fun experience, try it. Usually need to book in advance
Hi Emily. Yes you need to show proof of embedded RFID implant scan on arrival. Got one installed last week and totally painless.
The Morcheeba show is 21+. Music Box does occasionally offer all ages shows (as well as 18+ shows), depending on the artist. You can view the age restriction for a particular show on the artist info page on our website (click artist name) or on the TicketWeb page where tickets are purchased.
No, you can buy tickets without fees by purchasing them at the box office. The box office is open from 11 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, as well as during show performances.
Please reach out to the Box Office and we will do our best to accommodate your party.
All CA businesses are required to accommodate service animals, and Music Box is happy to make accommodations for those with disabilities or special needs. We do not, however, allow non-service dogs or pets of any kind into the venue (including emotional support animals). If you are disabled or require special accommodations and would like to attend a show at Music Box, we ask that you reach out to our box office in advance so that we are better prepared to meet your needs.
Hi Kelly! Thanks for reaching out on this. At this time, all patrons are required to have proof of vaccine or a negative COVID PCR test within 72 hours. Other accepted forms for entry are as follows: -A clear and legible photocopy of your vaccine card -Photo of your vaccine card on your phone -A QR code from the State of California confirming vaccinated status which can be obtained via https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/
I don’t think so. But I would assume it depends on the event!
Each show is different. always check
There is a small but nice variety of plates to order. Food is excellent!
The Indigo Grill dinner package is available on the ticket link: https://www.ticketweb.com/event/cory-wong-parismonster-music-box-tickets/9716075?pl=musicboxsd
Hi Karen. Yes, we are completely wheelchair accessible. We recommend you contact the box office as soon as you buy your tickets (and no later than 24 hours in advance) to the show if you need assistance. It's too early to know the set times for that particular show. They are usually determined (as best as possible) a little closer to the show date.
We don't have a coat check, but if you ask security they can put your gear in the box office.
Hi, it depends on the show. Some shows are fully-seated shows, and some are partially seated. Most shows are standing, with about 50 GA seats available on a first-come basis. Is there a specific show you're inquiring about?
Same answer but photos and govt issued ids really help
21+ tonight
One needs to be 18+ to get into a show if it's an 18+ show. If someone is not at least 18, they will not be able to get in.
Hit ip the music box im sure they can help u
You can wait outside all night if you like
There's tons of options. You're practically in the area called "Little Italy" and the distance from there to the downtown area is very short.
I'd assume it would follow smoking laws set by the state. While recreational use is now legal, you can’t smoke it in public, or within 1,000 feet of a school or daycare center when children are present. You also can’t smoke and drive. So you won't be able to legally smoke outside. And a small venue like music box isn't going to go through the hurdles to provide a legal space for pot smoking inside I'd wager.
It did not the couple times Ive gone to shows. It was nice avoiding the fees that can add up
Its not open Saturdays until 5pm unless its an impact event. In that case the extended hours would be published on social media. I know people.
You can always purchase tickets before and after a concert. Difference is you pay more at the door
